AR15 “ACTIVE” Dry Weight Insert – Beta Test Program

This is a controlled beta release. Read everything before ordering.

You’re getting early access to the updated ACTIVE Dry Weight Insert for AR15 30-round magazines. This version is designed to simulate realistic resistance during bolt cycling while maintaining safe dry-fire function.

This product is not a finished retail release. You are participating as a tester.

How This Works

  • You can order up to 2 inserts max

  • You are only paying shipping, selected at checkout

  • You are expected to provide structured feedback within 2 weeks of delivery

  • This listing is hidden and limited to approved testers

What This Insert Is Designed To Do

The ACTIVE insert is intended to:

  • Provide noticeable resistance during bolt cycling

  • Allow the bolt to go fully into battery when released normally

  • Hang up or slow the bolt if it is ridden forward slowly

  • Stay retained in the magazine under normal handling

What You Are Testing

You are expected to validate performance across multiple variables:

1. Fitment

Test in a variety of 30-round magazines:

  • PMAG (various gens if available)

  • Lancer

  • USGI / other common patterns

  • As many different mags as possible

Report:

  • Fit consistency

  • Any binding, looseness, or incompatibility

2. Function in Rifle

Test across different rifles if possible.

Evaluate:

  • Resistance during bolt cycling

  • Does the bolt go fully into battery when released normally?

  • Does the bolt hang if ridden forward slowly?

3. Retention / Durability

  • Load insert into mag

  • Drop magazine from realistic handling heights onto hard surfaces

Report:

  • Does the insert or topper shift or eject?

  • Any damage or deformation?

4. Removal

  • Can the insert be removed from each mag type?

  • Difficulty level / any tools required

5. Interference

  • Does the insert interfere with:

    • Magazine insertion

    • Magazine release

    • Bolt function

    • Any other rifle operation

6. Feedback Quote

Provide a short, usable quote describing your experience.
This may be used for marketing (first name + last initial unless otherwise approved).

  • Submit feedback within 14 days of delivery
